This is a super fun species, they are bold and do fine in groups. They are facultative egg feeders, meaning you can leave the eggs/tadpoles with the parents and they will help raise the babies for you.
As always care should be taken to watch for any aggression in case any frogs need to be separated. They can reach sexual maturity in 6-8 months of age and live in captivity for 10+ years. The adults of this species are very quick so care should be taken when opening the tank! They are relatively easy to breed but the eggs can be hard to find. They will typically lay their eggs in film canisters or in leaf litter. No parental care is provided after the eggs have been laid so they need to be raised outside of the tank, or pull the tadpoles once they’ve been placed into pools of water.
Humidity: 70-100%
Temperature 70-80°F
Food: Melanogaster, Hydeii for adults, springtails and dwarf white isopods
